About me... an autobiography

I was born in Erie Pennsylvania. In 1982 I moved to Westerville, Ohio. I attended Ohio State University and after three years, switched to the Columbus DeVry Institute and completed my undergraduate studies in Electronic Engineering.

I began my professional career at General Electric Aircraft Engines as a Systems Analyst, and completed a leadership program and one year in a software development role. At the encouragement of some new faces at GE, I began a new career in information technology consulting with Sogeti-USA, LLC. I now work for Fifth Third Bank as a Software Packager.

Outside of work, I am a competitive player of the Highland Bagpipes. I travel around the region in the summer season playing my pipes in a competition setting with the MAW pipe band and as a solo player. I enjoy teaching folks to play the pipes, but am currently not accepting new students.

My Motorcycle

I own a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 800A. I have some recent pictures of the bike that you can see if you click "even more photos" (on the left). I love riding motorcycles, and this bike does it nicely for me.

My Newest Job

I'm working at Fifth Third Bank now. I do software packaging for them. Its a good job.

Electric Guitar Amp

I just built the High Octane Guitar amplifier, found at www.ax84.com and it sounds WONDERFUL. Check out the pictures at Amplifier Project Photos.

My Physical Fitness

I lift weights, and have been at it for several years. I've had a slow start, but its been a steady go since I've started. I've gained 20 pounds of lean muscle weight and remained at 13% bodyfat. Other benefits include: stable and elevated mood, stable energy throughout the day, increased appetite, and better satisfaction with my body. My favorite excersizes are Squats, Deadlifts, Bent Over Rows, Bench Press, Shoulder Press, and Calf Presses. I don't desire to 'get huge', nor do I desire to squat a school bus. Its just a steady part of my lifestyle, and I think it will remain. Many men have image hang ups. I grew up a very very skinny fellow. If you don't believe me, click here. I am the fellow in the middle with the 'nerd' glasses. I was 15 then.

Final Remarks

New Feature!!! For the latest updates and a glimpse in to random thoughts of mine, check out my blog. Or, take a look at the "Documents" on the left side if you'd like to look at my resume or pictures. I put some links over there so you can see where I spend most of my time on the 'net.

I'm so glad you don't have any obnoxious animated bagpipe gif's or pipe tune midi files. People who allow that crap on their sites don't have good taste.
